Dogs Musical Opens with Adoption Events

The original holiday musical Dogs opens on the Mainstage Theater at Pheasant Run with adoption events by Rover Rescue from Aurora.

Dogs is an original holiday musical told from the dogs’ perspective and is a poignant and often tongue-in-cheek homage to Cats. It’s filled with fantastic songs, memorable pooches, and brilliant staging. With state-of-the-art costumes and make up and a set that will astound you, Dogs is a fun show for the entire family.

Dogs is the fifth original musical created and produced by The Sigman Brothers in the last five years and the third staged at the Mainstage Theater at Pheasant Run.

Mike and Jerry Sigman each bring a wide variety of talents and experience to the table. Mike has five degrees in music and has made a long career as a rock performer and song writer where he has established a strong reputation. Jerry was an opera singer, actor, writer, and sleight-of-hand artist known throughout the Chicagoland area.

Together they wrote several screenplays, but while their work generated strong interest, they didn’t want to move their families out of state. It was then Mike had the brilliant idea to apply their talents to transform one of their screenplays, Etude, into a musical for the stage. You could say that first show was the beginning of The Sigman Brothers. For both of them, the process felt like coming home.

Dogs is a show for dog lovers of all types and ages and a wonderful experience for the whole family this holiday season. Whether you have your own furry, four-legged friend at home or just love great musical theater, this story about life, loyalty, and love is sure to please.

In keeping with the theme, Rover Rescue from Aurora will host an adoption event before every performance where you will have the opportunity to learn more about Rover Rescue and meet a furry friend who is up for adoption right in the lobby of the theater. Rover Rescue is a network of volunteer foster homes who do not have a central shelter, so this is a great opportunity to connect with them.

Patrons can also receive $5 off a Dogs theater ticket with a donation of pet food or essential supplies. Come help us support Rover Rescue!

Dogs will open on the Mainstage Theater at Pheasant Run Friday, December 21st and run through Sunday, December 30th with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are just $20 and Dinner & a Show packages are available for Friday and Saturday shows. Stars of the Industry

Pheasant Run Resort is pleased to present five nominees for the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association 2018 Stars of the Industry Awards.

Lisa K. Adams-Marketing Manager, Hal Barth-Director of Sales & Marketing, & Berenice Cruz-Catering Sales Manager. Not pictured Steve Meggos-Banquet Manager.

Manager of the Year

Lisa K. Adams is the Marketing Manager at Pheasant Run Resort. Her responsibilities include what you would expect: SEO, PPC, website maintenance, PR, and reputation management. But what Lisa really excels at is the amount of work she is able to accomplish so efficiently.

Her day may start with updating internal marketing for resort guests, planning a promotion in the theater, promoting a holiday brunch for 1,500, booking entertainment, or decorating a float for a community parade.

Our transient leisure revenues will exceed $250,000 over the previous year and at a suburban resort, those numbers are magnificent. It’s her focus on email marketing, targeted messaging on social media, and a clear call to action that have helped a once struggling suburban resort surpass its competition.

It’s a team effort at Pheasant Run, but when it comes to marketing and promotion, Lisa Adams has made all the difference.

Steve Meggos, Banquet Manager, has been an intricate part of the hospitality fabric at Pheasant Run Resort for over twenty-six years. The work ethic he maintains has been embraced with enthusiasm and eloquent professionalism whether it means 4am service or 2am closing.

Steve is an avid gardener and award-winning Dahlia grower with over 100 varieties in his backyard. In his spare time, he plants a garden at Pheasant Run Resort each year with fresh fruits and vegetables that are used in the restaurant, Harvest.

Steve and his banquets team, will be responsible for servicing over 121,000 meals during 2018 and over four million during his career at Pheasant Run. He has personally overseen more than 1,000 wedding receptions, and new generations of families he has serviced during his long-standing career.

His attention to detail and the relationships Steve has developed with staff and guests over the years make him an extremely deserving candidate for Manager of the Year.

Administrative Employee of the Year

Berenice Cruz has been Administrative Assistant and was recently promoted to Catering Sales Manager at Pheasant Run Resort. Employees at Pheasant Run are called Artists, but Berenice truly is! Berenice is always drawing personalized birthday cards for other artists and she volunteers her time and talents for community projects like painting an Adirondack chair, clay pot, or pumpkin!

Berenice volunteers on the Promise Committee focusing on Community Involvement and Green Initiatives and puts her artistic talents to work creating posters as well as using her fluent Spanish to create flyers for HR.

Although Berenice primarily worked for the Sales and Catering department as an Administrative Assistant, she helped out in Banquets and assists any department as needed. She is extremely hard working, making sure everyone has what they need to get the job done at Pheasant Run.

Overall, Berenice is a hardworking, truly caring Artist at Pheasant Run and respected by every member of the team.

France Langan-General Manager, Keith Boehmer-Golf Counter Attendant/Security, Jamie Nieto-Golf Pro.

Hotelier of the Year

When we think about the most deserving candidate for Hotelier of the Year, only one person comes to mind, General Manager France Langan.

France has been with Hostmark Hospitality Group for fourteen years and General Manager at Pheasant Run since 2016. He has had so many accomplishments in that short time, but his first order of business was improving the company culture. Hostmark Hospitality Group rolled out a new initiative called the Art of Service and France embraced it whole-heartedly.

The Art of Services means bringing local style and flair to the guest interaction. Never boring or bland. Ideas, ideas, and more ideas! Challenging ourselves every day. Our guests raving to others about their stays. Exceptional experiences, created by exceptional people…our Hostmark Artists [employees]!

France implemented a roundtable forum with the Artists called “Frankly with France” where twice a month he meets with a group of Artists from each department over breakfast or lunch to listen to their comments and concerns and share information about our property. He uses this information to affect real change within the resort that resonates with the Artists themselves because they were a part of it!

France also has a careful eye on our finances, but has been able to make big things happen with a small budget, including reopening the Mainstage Theater, increasing revenue with daily pool passes, revitalizing historic Bourbon Street, purchasing new golf carts, refurbishing and getting repairs completed, and purchasing a new electronic marquee.

Hostmark Hospitality Group’s mission and core values encourage our Artists to “Make your Mark.” This program encourages us to Say It, Reach Out, Just Deliver, Forward Focus, and Join the Team. France lives and breathes these core values each and every day and it is reflected in all that he has been able to accomplish as General Manager at Pheasant Run Resort.

France has Made his Mark in the Chicago Suburbs and he would make a great candidate for Hotelier of the Year!

Guest Service Employee of the Year

Every once in a while you find an artist that rises above to help anyone in need. We have one of those special artists at Pheasant Run Resort in Keith. Keith Boehmer’s primary job is in the Pro Shop of the Golf Course. He also works part-time as a Security Officer. He is organized, efficient, and friendly beyond compare.

Some of us are lucky enough to go our entire career without a disastrous situation such as the one that occurred at about 10:30pm on Tuesday 7/17/18. Two boys ran to the front desk and told our Front Desk Supervisor that someone was drowning in the pool.

Luckily Keith was our Security Officer that evening. He was called on the radio to attend to a code 1000 – Medical Emergency at the Outdoor Pool. As Keith ran towards the pool and saw the crowd, he immediately jumped into the pool and swam across to the island, where he assisted a group chaperone, holding the boy’s head from hitting the concrete and turning him to extract water.

The boy had been underwater for up to five minutes and had ingested a large amount of water. As the boy became alert, he told Keith he had panicked and couldn’t swim. The St Charles police arrived, and shortly thereafter, the paramedics. Two of the paramedics jumped into the pool and swam across with a board and removed the boy to the ambulance, where he was alert but being taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

The extraordinary thing, is that Keith didn’t hesitate. He knew the boy needed help; he didn’t even realize someone else was also swimming towards the boy who got their first. He just knew what needed to be done and did what the majority would not.

Keith is one of those rare people that would do whatever needed to be done to assist in any situation. He definitely helped save this boy’s life and Pheasant Run is forever grateful to have him on the Team.

IHLA’s Stars of the Industry Awards program was established in 1996 to honor IHLA member hotel employees for their outstanding accomplishments, service, and leadership in the hospitality and lodging industry. This program recognizes the best of the best out of the thousands of exceptional hospitality employees in Illinois. These nominees are among those men and women who go above and beyond and whose hard work and dedication are an inspiration to their peers.

Pheasant Run looks forward to celebrating these five nominees at the annual Stars of the Industry Chicagoland Regional Luncheon on Thursday, November 1st at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare.

Fight Against Breast Cancer

Susan G. Komen Fundraiser

This year, Pheasant Run Resort is taking on the fight against breast cancer. We have created a Pheasant Run Campaign so that we can raise funds to stop this disease that affects 1 in 8 women during their lifetime.

As the world’s largest and most impactful breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen supports more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit outside the U.S. government, while providing real-time help to those facing the disease.

More Than Pink Project

In addition to an online fundraising campaign, we will be selling some items at our Activities desk at Pheasant Run to help us raise money. Purchase our pink merchandise during activities hours to show your support for the cause. We will be selling items throughout October or until sold out with 100% of the collected money to be donated to Komen.

  • $1 Pink Ribbons

  • $2 Pins

  • $2 Pink Wrist Bands

Mainstage Theater for Breast Cancer Awareness

Thanks to our in-house AV team at Vidtech, we have also lit up our Mainstage Theater pink to help promote Breast Cancer Awareness.

We want to join Susan G. Komen in their efforts to end breast cancer forever and we are asking for your help to make that vision a reality. Your gift will help Susan G. Komen provide education, screening and treatment programs for women and men in our community, and support cutting-edge research so that one day we can live in a world without breast cancer.

We thank you in advance for your generosity and support!

Harvest Rolls Out Farm-To-Fork Menu

at Pheasant Run Resort

Before our country became so urban, people bought their food directly from the farm or the local market. If a product was tasty and ripe, they knew who was responsible. At Harvest Restaurant at Pheasant Run Resort, Executive Chef Tiffany Tooker not only knows where their food is coming from and the farmers responsible, but she is uniquely proud of what that means for the guest dining experience.

Executive Chef Tiffany Tooker is an East Coast award-winning chef with a progressive culinary experience that spans over twenty years. She's been named Executive Chef of the Year three times by HostMark Hospitality. She had experience in hotels, independent restaurants, catering, and country clubs before arriving in Saint Charles in 2014 to work for Pheasant Run Resort where she oversees three restaurants, banquets, quality, and a staff of twenty-four.

Chef Tiffany is the creative force behind all of the restaurant and catering menus at Pheasant Run Resort as well as customized menus for special events and private affairs. With the new Harvest menu, the focus is on farm to table dining. The connection between guests and the food served comes to life with this farm to table philosophy.

The Chef invites you to sample this philosophy in their newly released menu at Harvest. She is even willing to share a glimpse of the fresh fare coming out of the kitchen. Try your hand at mixing up this delicious Chimichurri Sauce for yourself at home. Of course you are always welcome to stop in to get it directly from the source. Just ask for the Teres Major Steak off the new menu. This is upscale farm-to-fork dining at its finest!

Chimichurri Sauce  - Yield 1 cup

1 tsp. kosher salt or to taste

½ cup finely chopped cilantro

¼ cup finely chopped parsley

¾ cup extra-virgin olive oil

1 shallot, finely chopped

1 jalapeño, finely chopped

3-4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced or finely chopped

½ cup red wine vinegar

1oz fresh lime juice

2 lbs terse major or skirt steak

Preparation

Combine shallot, jalapeño, garlic, vinegar, lime juice, and salt in a metal bowl. Stir in cilantro and parsley. Slowly whisk in the oil. Transfer ½-cup chimichurri to a small bowl; season with salt and store in refrigerator. Place meat in a separate bowl and add the remaining chimichurri. Cover and chill 2 to 4 hours or overnight. Remove meat from marinade and grill to medium rare or 120 degrees. Once meat is cooked to your liking, slice on a bias and drizzle the extra chimichurri sauce over beef. Enjoy!

If you'd rather have Chef Tiffany do the gardening, chopping, and cooking, join us at Harvest Restaurant! Housed inside our Historic Dairy Barn, the artful menu at Harvest is inspired by its rustic setting, full of thoughtfully sourced ingredients from local Great Lakes farms and Corn Belt ranches. Not only are our dry-aged steaks, grain-fed poultry, and seasonal produce as fresh as can be, all our seafood is the fresh, never frozen. It's this dedication to the integrity of everything on our menu that makes Harvest one of the finest restaurants in St. Charles, IL. Small town service, big city taste.

Management Mingle

Managers from the entire resort got together for a friendly game of golf to kick off an exciting summer at the resort. In teams of four, they played best ball, longest drive, longest putt, and enjoyed some tacos to end the day. Everyone had a great time learning more about golf and the course while mingling with coworkers from different departments. It was the perfect way to celebrate all of the hard work these managers put in every single day.

Spring Wrap Up at Pheasant Run

As Memorial Day weekend approaches, we turn to thoughts of summer with families lounging by the pool, ordering drinks from the splash bar, and hitting the links! We thought we'd take a moment to slow down and savor some of the highlights from Spring at the Run.

Earth Day

PRIMROSE GANG3 2018.jpg

A group of us volunteered at our St Charles Park District's Primrose Farm for Earth Day. We spent the afternoon walking the farm countryside picking up trash uncovered from the recently melted snow. It was a beautiful day to pitch in at the farm and gave us a taste of the Farm Life Experience package we offer to our guests. Although they get to do the fun stuff like groom horses and feed chickens!

Pheasant Run In Bloom

spring planting 2018.jpg

Our grounds team has been working tirelessly to spruce up Pheasant Run after a long, long winter! Spring came slowly to St Charles, but the grounds team is making us look great!

On The Job Training

On Job Training 2018.jpg

As the spring semester comes to an end, so does the On The Job Training for local St Charles East students. During spring semester they pitched in with housekeeping cleaning and folding towels and were a huge help to sales and marketing folding our never-ending pile of brochures and resort guides. This is such a meaningful program for the students, giving them hands on experience in the workforce, and we're honored to be a part of their growth.

We're ready to welcome summer, how about you?

Inch by Inch

Pheasant Run Resort has been busy sowing the seeds for success and we're delighted that those efforts are beginning to pay off. On Thursday, February 8th at the Chicago Mart Plaza, several Artists from Pheasant Run Resort were recognized by Hostmark Hospitality Group for outstanding achievements in 2017.

At its 2018 Leadership Conference, Hostmark Hospitality Group awarded Artists from across the country for excellence in their fields.

From Pheasant Run Resort, Lisa K. Adams, Marketing Manager, received the SMART Artist of the Year Award. Hal Barth was nominated for Director of Sales & Marketing of the Year. France Langan received the Full Service General Manager of the Year Award. And Sergio Huerta, our Pheasant Run Artist of the Year, won the Regional Artist of the Year Award.

Although not in attendance, we were thrilled to also celebrate for Bruce Miller who won the Food & Beverage Director of the Year Award and Nick Kolb, awarded the Engineer of the Year.

Congratulations also go to Patricia Quinn, nominated for Director of Human Resources of the Year and Debbie Fields, nominated for Director of Catering of the Year.

It's been an amazing year at Pheasant Run Resort and we're excited to see what's in store for 2018. Ready, Set, Grow!

Stars of The Industry: Bruce Miller

We'd like to congratulate Bruce Miller, F&B Director at Pheasant Run Resort, for his 2017 Stars of the Industry Award nomination.

Patricia Quinn (Director of Human Resources) and Bruce Miller (Director of Food & Beverage)

Patricia Quinn (Director of Human Resources) and Bruce Miller (Director of Food & Beverage)

Bruce consistently goes out of his way to take care of our many guests.  As you can image, with 293 guest rooms, 88,000 square feet of meeting space, 4 restaurants, Golf, Spa, and Comedy Club, he can be asked nearly anything on any given day.

Here is a perfect example from last Easter, when Bruce was also overseeing Brunch for 1200 people in our Grand Ballroom:

"We recently had the pleasure of visiting Pheasant Run Resort and enjoying their fabulous Easter Brunch. It was complete with every food imaginable, carving stations, omelet’s, seafood and “yes” even the Easter Bunny. They had a petting zoo and the kids, “loved it”!

My mistake was thinking that they had an Easter Egg Hunt as well that day, but after reading correctly; realized that I had missed it the day before. I approached a Manager and asked him if there was anything he could do for the eight kids I had with me and to my surprise, he said; let me check on something.

This man’s name was Bruce Miller the Food & Beverage Director of the resort; he’s busy overseeing service for 1200 and he comes back with a basket of eggs. He personally proceeds to take the eggs outside and place them around trees, under bushes and so forth. He then tells me the kids hunt is ready.

The kids had a blast and it’s a memory I will never forget! We will see you next year and make sure to catch the Saturday Easter Egg Hunts. Thank you, Pheasant Run Resort."

For the many hours that Bruce works, the leadership and direction he provides as well as the hospitality he provides our many guests, this 2017 Stars of the Industry Award nomination is well deserved.

Thank you Bruce!

Stars of the Industry: Sergio Huerta

When you think of someone worthy of Stars of the Industry it has to be someone who does much more than just his job. It has to be a staff member who is passionate about serving others and excels at their primary role but is also willing to take on other responsibilities for the good of the operation.

France Langan, GM and Patricia Quinn (Director of Human Resources) present Sergio with a certificate for his nomination.

France Langan, GM and Patricia Quinn (Director of Human Resources) present Sergio with a certificate for his nomination.

Sergio Huerta might be a bartender by job code but in reality, he is so much more than that. Sergio has been a full - time bartender for the past 11 years at Pheasant Run Resort. In a business dominated by transient staff he has been a constant at the different lounges within Pheasant Run. Sergio works as a bartender wherever he is needed including but not limited to Harvest, Jambalaya, The Clubhouse, Zydeco Jacks, and Banquets.

He is an outstanding bartender who is very creative and willing to experiment with drinks. Sergio’s house made Sangria is always the most popular beverage out at the pool bar on hot summer days. Sergio will actually pick mint leaf out in the Chefs Garden to make his famous strawberry mojitos which are a big hit all Summer long.

Sergio is constantly mentioned in guest comment cards because he always takes the time to get to know everyone who sits down at his bar. He has a great memory and always recognizes returning guests and greets them as he would greet a good friend which makes them feel special.

Sergio is one of the rare staff members who never stands around idly as he is always cleaning or working on a project to improve the resort. Sergio is very gifted mechanically and often repairs and services equipment that is off limits to all staff except for the most talented engineers. He rebuilds soda compression systems and troubleshoots the complex draft beer system connected to 3 different restaurants when it goes down.

Sergio is undaunted by hard work and will never call a manager to change a beer keg in the basement instead choosing to simply do it himself so he knows it is done right. All bar staff love to follow Sergio because they know the bar they are coming into will be spotless and well stocked.

Every year Sergio is selected at least once as the “Artist of the Month” and his name appears on ballots at least 6 times a year. What really separates Sergio is his willingness to do anything to help the resort. He does not do it for attention or recognition but because it is the right thing to do and because he understands that every staff member has a vested interest in the success of the resort.

In the last year Sergio has by himself reupholstered the lounge chairs in the Clubhouse, fixed a broken chair in the Tower Lobby, and repaired the cobblestones on Bourbon Street with quick setting concrete. Recently he took it upon himself to clean the ceiling tiles outside the public bathrooms in the Tower Lobby.

Sergio is one of those rare staff members who loves his profession and serving others. He sets a great example for others with his work ethic and he always tries to leave the resort a better place every day that he works.

This is why we have nominated Sergio Huerta for a Stars of the Industry award!

Check out Sergio's latest mixology video and you'll see why guests and other Artists adore him!

Feeding Our Hungry Neighbors

Our Promise Committee set out to connect with a charity in our community and we found the Northern IL Food Bank nearly right in our back yard.

We quickly were able to create an online donation site to encourage our guests and employees to donate funds to our cause. We created informational pieces on our website to help promote the food bank and provide valuable team building opportunities for our meetings and conventions. Every little bit helps. Did you know that they can provide $8 of food for every $1 donated? That's amazing!

Excited to get going!  Photo courtesy of Saida Cisneros.

We wanted to get out there and get involved ourselves and so we formed a group to volunteer for a shift at the warehouse packing food. When we arrived we were given a brief orientation about the food bank and the good work they do and then we got down to work!

It's amazing how people from all different parts of the hotel can come together as a team to get the job done, jumping in where needed! We're used to seeing this around Pheasant Run.

The three-hour shift seemed to fly by as we quickly completed three projects for the food bank that day. All in all (with a little help from another organization working alongside us), we packaged 24,042 pounds of food, providing 20,035 meals for hungry neighbors in Northern Illinois!

All in all, it was three hours well spent! We added our names to the giant name tag ball representing the thousands of previous volunteers who have passed through this warehouse. We encourage you to get out there and do the same!

Talk About Artist Appreciation

When we started celebrating our artists, we had no idea one lady would really shine. It turns out she is not only an artist in her role as Administrative Assistant to the sales and marketing team, she is a real life artist as well.

We recently had the opportunity to participate in the Downtown Saint Charles Partnership Chair-ity Event. We wanted to reconnect with our community and thought this would be a great way to connect while advertising Pheasant Run all summer long.

The idea is that individuals and businesses paint an adirondack chair and it is displayed in the Saint Charles downtown area all summer long and later auctioned off for charity. We approached Berenice Cruz about taking on the daunting task of painting a chair to represent Pheasant Run Resort and boy did she deliver!

We're currently campaigning to win the facebook contest. You can cast your vote for us by clicking HERE and giving the photo a like. We also just kicked off a social media contest where we are asking folks to take a picture with the chair and share on Instagram for a chance to win an overnight stay and tickets to our comedy club, Zanies.

I would say we couldn't be more proud of Berenice, except that in the very next month she was put to the test to create a flower pot for the Saint Charles in Bloom contest. Another stunning piece of art that just tied for first place last weekend for Best Overall Theme.

Thank you so much to Berenice Cruz for creating such wonderful images to represent Pheasant Run Resort and give us such a positive image in our community.

Celebrating Artists

He is the poster boy for calm, cool, and collected at a job that gives you many opportunities to have a meltdown. He handles anything that is thrown at him at the front desk with professionalism and humor. He provides a tremendous amount of support to his line employees, Lindsay (FOM), and Rick (AGM). He can always be counted on to jump in and help where needed and is a true team player. During first quarter Adam was our Assistant Front Desk Manager and has recently been promoted to Food and Beverage Manager.

Roberto Castillo

Patricia Quinn (Director of HR) & Roberto Castillo

Patricia Quinn (Director of HR, pictured left) presented Roberto with the award for the Heart of the House Artist of the Month.  Roberto is a Grounds Keeper and the main man around the hotel grounds. He keeps an eye on everything outside the hotel; he lets us know if there are any areas that need attention or care. If asked to complete any job it is immediately completed. He is a valuable team member of the grounds team and Pheasant Run Resort! He took charge of cleaning out the back fish pond without missing a beat.

Artist of the Month (Front of House - March)

Janis Housley

Janis Housley

Janis (pictured left) captured this perfect moment with Donna Rodriguez & Marlene Fisher (Banquet Servers) shortly before the doors opened to 1,200 Easter Brunch guests with the caption "We got this!" Janis is the Artist of the Month - Front of House because she is a reliable and excellent Banquet Bartender. She is personable and professional. She does a great job making new guests feel welcome and a great job remembering previous guests and making them feel like they are coming home.

Thank you to all our Artists who contribute to the larger mission, not just the tasks of their jobs. They truly transform the guest experience and make extraordinary things happen!

Faces of Travel @ Pheasant Run

National Travel and Tourism Week serves to champion the power of our industry. This year's theme, Faces of Travel, recognized the millions of people who keep this industry strong.

Here at Pheasant Run Resort, we wanted to celebrate our Artists in a big way. We invited our Mayor and City Administrator along with the press for a behind the scenes tour of the faces that make Pheasant Run successful.

Raymond Rogiina, Felipe the Pheasant, & Mark Koenen

Lindsay, Front Office Manager started our tour.

We continued the tour to our Library, where we met with Maria, Accounts Payable Clerk (who has been with Hostmark for 10 years) and Regina, Human Resources Coordinator, ho has been with us for 25 years!

Jamie, PGA Professional and Golf Operations Manager spoke about the 26 golf outings we have scheduled for 2017, the 24,000 rounds of golf we anticipate this year, and that our course was just awarded Best Public Golf Course, West Suburban Magazine.

Executive Chef Tiffany spoke in our Club House Lounge about her garden and providing Farm to Table fare for Harvest Restaurant.

Lori, owner of Spa Vargas Wellness, spoke about focus on wellness and athlete services that sets them apart. They also provide training through Spa Vargas University.

Margy, Director of Convention Services, spoke about the 250,000 visitors to the Mega Center each year and that we have attractions in our facility 46 weekends of the year. These visitors stay at our hotels, other local hotels, and patronize local businesses in Saint Charles, IL.

Gabby, Marketing Manager from the Arcada Theater, shared with the press our partnership to bring entertainment back to our theater. They are actively booking entertainment, but we can already look forward to performances of Aladdin Jr and Hairspray this summer!

We concluded our tour on our revived Bourbon Street in the heart of Pheasant Run Resort. Zanies Comedy Club has been bringing nationally known comics like Gilbert Gottfried, Drew Carey, Emo Philips, and Tommy Chong to Pheasant Run for 27 years. With 250 seats in the club, four shows a week, they have easily brought over a million people to Pheasant Run.

Adriana, a Kitchen Supervisor, spoke of the work her team does in cold prep and what really goes into preparing for our extravagant Mother's Day Brunch this weekend.

iPANiC Escape Room has just opened a new room called Bourbon Street Voodoo this week and will be adding a second pirate-themed room, Shipwrecked, soon.

The St Charles Arts Council is currently hosting a Pop Up Gallery featuring local artists, and Elizabeth from the council shared with the press what a great experience it has been working with us to bring art to Bourbon Street again.

Overall an amazing show of support and enthusiasm for Travel & Tourism Week at Pheasant Run Resort in Saint Charles, IL. We're all very excited for the great things happening at the Run and now key members of our city are getting excited about it too!

Felipe The Pheasant Is Born

We recently celebrated Felipe, who has worked for Pheasant Run Resort for 48 years! When he started in 1969, the minimum wage was only $1.65! Felipe is our Assistant Superintendent for Grounds. He says that he has stayed for so long because he really enjoys working outdoors and has always really enjoyed working here.

Thank you Felipe! We appreciate you and in honor of you, have decided to name our mascot pheasant after you.

Felipe's Pizza

We've also named our new pizza after Felipe. The real Felipe deserves all the recognition because he is truly an artist out on our grounds. Thank you for 48 years of dedicated artistry!

Everything Under The Rainbow

In March, Hostmark Artists at Pheasant Run connected with our community by joining the Downtown St Charles Partnership and participating in the annual St Patrick's Day Parade.

We decorated our hay ride trailer with a golden rainbow and created distinct banners for the event to showcase Pheasant Run Resort to the local community.

Pheasant Run St Patrick's Day Banner

We invited our employees and guests to join us for this fun event and had a great group of participants including our very own Pheasant mascot.

Pheasant Run St Patrick's Day Float

We passed out chocolate golden coins along the parade route along with coupons for the Resort Course at Pheasant Run for a great deal on golf and great rates for staycations.

Not only was the event great fun, we placed third in the Business Showcase category and were presented with an award at the St Charles city council meeting in April.
